Follow @handwovens Welcome I weave scarves, shawls, throws, cushions, fabric for bags and accessories, and wall art, all by hand.  I take my inspiration from the area I live, which is in Cambridgeshire on the border of Norfolk and LIncolnshire.  The big skies that surround me allow me to breathe deeply and dream, which feeds the creative process.  I enjoy everything about weaving, starting with creating the idea before yarn becomes involved, and then making a warp and dressing the loom.  When the weaving begins, I can start to see my ideas come to life, and the creation of cloth still amazes me with warp and weft thread blending together to become part of something bigger.Finally, when the piece is taken off the loom, I love to see how it changes with finishing and becomes the goal that I set out to achieve.  Along the way, I learn more about how yarns interact; how different patterns are created; how much more I can fall in love with weaving and how my creative designs can be interpreted in weave structure.  Then I am ready to start the process all over again, with forever renewing passion.Please take a look around and get in touch with any questions or requirements.   Michelle
